She opens her mouth in wisdom,
Proverbs 31:26
and the teaching of kindness
is on her tongue.
We are in the “Proverbs 31 Woman” passage as we end our first 31 Days journey discovering many golden nuggets concerning wisdom! I have been richly blessed and deeply challenged by what we have found in these days together and I pray you can say the same!
One final principle I have discovered is that wisdom affects every facet of my life; either with its use for good and eternal purposes or for lack of use resulting in chaos and destructive results. But in no other way is wisdom so powerfully seen or not seen than in my words! I know this is true in my own life and within my circle of influence and I imagine it is the same for you.
With that in mind, I would like to end this month’s study with a familiar New Testament passage that showcases for us the beautiful outcomes of a life lived in wisdom. For, as we have seen in these 31 Days, without godly wisdom, the fruit described in Galatians cannot be achieved.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is not law.
Galatians 5:22-23
In the previous verses to this beautiful list Paul describes the opposite of Spirit-filled fruit. It is an ugly list and not one to be desired. You may notice that these actions coincide tightly with thinking and heart matters that are the very opposite of wisdom. In the coming months we will search further for God’s antidotes to such unpleasant behavior and thoughts.

Watch over your heart with all diligence,
Proverbs 4:23
for from it flow the springs of life.
I hope you will join me for next month’s Heart Matters!
