Wisdom Calls: Track It

31 Days

How blessed is the man who finds wisdom
and the man who gains understanding.

Proverbs 3:13

Grandkids are so much fun! Over the holidays my grandson and I decided to search for treasure! First we decided what the treasure would be and where we would hide it. Then we made a map with clever clues and ciphers (four-year old style) for his mom to try and figure out. Of course, he couldn’t wait and told her where the treasure was hidden. Loved it! All of it! Precious memory I will treasure (pun intended) for a long time.

It made me wonder why we don’t put as much thought and preparation and ingenuity and even fun into finding the treasure of wisdom? Why do we just assume that somehow we and our children and grandchildren will magically be wise? Wisdom should be valued much more than gold and silver and jewels. It should be sought and found on a daily basis and celebrations should ensue when wisdom is applied and found to be successful (as it always is)!

A song of David says it best!

The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the LORD are true; they are righteous
altogether. They are more desireable than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb. Moreover, by them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

Psalm 19:7-11
